When asked on “Fox & Friends” Tuesday whether he would encourage the Department of Justice to act in investigating alleged corruption in the Biden family, President Donald Trump said Attorney General William Barr must act and fast to appoint a special prosecutor to do the job.
Trump echoed the sentiment of eleven Republican lawmakers who sent a letter Monday asking Barr to appoint a special counsel to investigate the alleged corruption.
“We’ve got to get the Attorney General to act fast,” Trump said. “He’s got to appoint somebody. This is major corruption and this has to be known about before the election and by the way, we’re doing very well. We’re gonna win the election.”
Last week, The New York Post published two reports alleging that former Vice President and 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden used his father’s position in the Obama administration to cash in big from firms in Ukraine and China.
